Fibromyalgia

Fibromyalgia is a chronic disorder characterized by widespread muscle pain, fatigue, and tenderness in localized areas. Cannabis and its derivatives have been shown to be effective in managing fibromyalgia symptoms.
The cannabinoids found in cannabis may help reduce pain, inflammation, and improve sleep quality, all of which are common symptoms of fibromyalgia. However, it's important to consult a healthcare professional before using cannabis as a treatment option.

Insomnia

Insomnia is a sleep disorder that affects a person's ability to fall asleep, stay asleep, or get restful sleep. This problem can be occasional or chronic, significantly impairing quality of life. People with insomnia often experience daytime fatigue, difficulty concentrating, irritability, and even symptoms of anxiety.
Causes can vary, including stress, anxiety, depression, excessive caffeine or alcohol consumption, underlying medical conditions, and even the use of electronic devices before bed, which impact melatonin production. Factors such as changes in sleep routine or environment can also trigger insomnia. CBD can help balance the sleep cycle by interacting with receptors in the endocannabinoid system that regulate melatonin, which is essential for sleep. CBD has anxiolytic properties that promote relaxation, facilitating sleep induction.

Alzheimer

Alzheimer's is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that primarily affects memory, thinking, and behavior. It is the most common form of dementia and occurs due to the death of brain cells and the formation of beta-amyloid protein plaques and tau tangles in the brain, which compromise communication between neurons.
Alzheimer's generally appears in people with an average age over 65, but there is a rare form called early-onset Alzheimer's, which can manifest before age 60, and in some cases even in the 30s or 40s.
The disease has a hereditary component, especially when it occurs in early-onset Alzheimer's. Genetic mutations in specific genes, such as APP, PSEN1, and PSEN2, significantly increase the risk in families.

However, in the most common form of Alzheimer's (late-onset), genetics plays a minor role, with factors such as age, lifestyle, and health conditions being the main contributors.
It's important to emphasize that early identification and appropriate medical follow-up can help manage symptoms and improve quality of life. Cannabidiol (CBD) has been studied as a therapeutic option for Alzheimer's due to its neuroprotective and anti-inflammatory properties. It can help reduce inflammation and protect neurons against oxidative stress, slowing the progression of the disease.

Depression

Depression is a mental disorder characterized by persistent feelings of sadness, hopelessness, and loss of interest in previously enjoyable activities. It can negatively impact emotional, physical, and social well-being, leading to symptoms such as fatigue, difficulty concentrating, changes in appetite, and sleep disturbances. Products containing CBD (cannabidiol) and THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) have been explored as therapeutic alternatives. CBD, known for its anxiolytic and antidepressant properties, can help regulate mood by interacting with serotonin receptors in the brain, without the psychoactive effects of THC. THC, despite being psychoactive, can promote relaxation and improve sleep quality, contributing to the relief of depressive symptoms. However, it is essential that these products be used under medical supervision, as the effects can vary depending on the dose and the individual profile of each patient.
